Want to create a shortcut file in Microsoft Windows so that it open a specific file in a specific software? Also you can open a file with the shortcut key. Yes you can create a Windows shortcut file to open a file in a software. For example if you want to open a image file in png, gif, jpeg format in Adobe Photoshop or Inkscape, or you want to open a website in Google Chrome and another in Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer you can do that by creating different Microsoft Windows shortcut files. You just have to configure it.
Now see an example. E.g. you want to create a Windows shortcut file to open our blog in Internet Explorer: Just copy Internet Explorer's shortcut from desktop or from Start Menu. You can also create shortcut by copying any software's program file and then right clicking and selecting 'Paste Shortcut'. Now right click on shortcut file and select 'Properties'. Now in the 'Target" field just after the program's location press 'Space' and type our website's URL or copy http://techimen.blogspot.com and paste OR use your own file's or website's URL. NOTE: Never forget the space between the program's location and the file's location. The location of program is between "quotes" and the file's name is without "quotes" i.e. " " or ' '.

You can also create a shortcut key to launch the file or website by pressing Ctrl + Alt + YourChoiceLetter. For example, T.  The complete shortcut key will be Ctrl + Alt + T. And this will launch TechiMen website or your choice's file.
